IQ Option demo account — opening a practice account
How to use the virtual balance to learn the terminal, test a strategy, and monitor personal mistakes.
Open Account →The IQ Option demo account reproduces the platform’s operating logic without using personal funds. The user can view market data, select instruments, apply indicators, and track the result of a position. The trading environment, assets, and indicators correspond to those available on the real account. The main difference concerns the source of funds: virtual money is used in practice mode.
What the demo account allows users to test
- Whether the layout of the terminal’s main elements is clear;
- Whether the user can explain the reason for entering a trade;
- Whether the user can explain the reason for entering a trade;
- Whether the reasons for entry, cancellation, and exit are recorded;
- Whether the selected rule can be repeated across a series of observations.
Getting started without financial pressure
The practice balance is available immediately after registration. Completed identity verification is not required at this stage. In the terminal, the user selects demo mode and follows the entire process: finding an instrument, configuring the chart, setting the parameters, and tracking an open position. The balance can be restored, so one unsuccessful series does not prevent further practice.
The ability to replenish the balance creates a risk of developing a gambling mindset. After a loss, it is easy to increase the trade size, abandon discipline, and start a new series without analysis. This approach helps users become familiar with the buttons but does not test the quality of their decisions. Effective practice requires a hypothesis recorded in advance and a consistent limit.
Moving beyond practice
After completing the training stage, the user can select the live balance in IQ Option and continue with personal funds.
